What a fantastic first week back at school! Thank you, students and parents who I've met, for extending a warm welcome to me. I absolutely love being a Calvary Eagle! I am now definitely looking forward to a fantastic year!
Parents, I would like to apologize for any confusion and miscommunication about the scheduling of beginning band versus study hall. (Being new here, I was also confused myself.) I am happy to have every single sixth grader on board. We are going to have such a blast learning together! This week, we worked on reading and counting rhythms as well as the notes on the treble clef staff. We also got to do some fun ice breakers and re-try some of the instruments. I look forward to meeting you at the Instrument Rental Meeting next week! (If you already have an instrument and/or are aware of the rental program at Meyer Music, you do not need to attend (though I would love to meet you afterwards at Open House. Have a great weekend! Ms. Janik Welcome, Sixth Graders, to the Calvary Christian Band Program! I'm sure you're all itching to get those shiny instruments in your hands so you can start learning to play them! Good news! The time is almost here!
PARENTS: We will be having an informational rental meeting right before Open House on Friday, September 18, at 5:30pm in the music room (upstairs). Our local music store representative will be at the school to help guide you parents in understanding the process of renting an instrument for your child. Cookies and water will be provided! |
